Kaylee Carter

Kaylee Carter is the host of the Crime Soup podcast. She majored in Criminal Justice and has previously worked as a detective’s assistant in the SVU. In her years interviewing survivors, compiling cases and learning about the dark underbelly of human psychology, she saw the system from the inside for what it truly is: a twisted web that goes far deeper than we often realize. While Kaylee has since left the system, her taste for true crime hasn’t left her. A healthy mix of pottery, a glass of loud music and a heap of DIY projects; she serves it fresh alongside the horrors of humanity.

Hannah Knaphus

Hannah Knaphus is the writer/producer for the Crime Soup podcast. Her interest in true crime began in childhood after discovering her father’s copy of “The Cases That Haunt Us” by John Douglas. Unlike other childhood fascinations, her interest in cold cases and serial killers didn’t seem to fade with adulthood. A few of Hannah’s favorite pastimes are reading through old newspaper archives, researching cold cases and, of course, listening to crime podcasts.
