Diane Augat was happily married with three children when her mental health took a downward spiral. Her husband divorced her,  took sole custody of their children and Diane became distraught with grief. She turned to drugs and alcohol instead of taking the drugs prescribed by her doctor and was known to roam the streets for days at a time. She was last seen alive on April 11th, 1998 in Hudson, Florida, but foul play became suspected when she left a very distressed voicemail on her mother's answering machine....and one of her fingers was found on the side of the road.
